Author bleeds for new Vampire book

Vampire novels are hot market items right now, with the likes of Stephenie Meyer and Amanda Hocking constantly in the top rank charts, followed by dozens of other great writers, every notch is hard fought. With so many fantastic new writers flooding the market how does an author make their mark and get people's attention;
...she signs books in her own blood...
"I didn't have the money to mass market the normal way, so I had to come up with something really off the wall" says Elita Daniels, author of the very soon to be released "Guardian" Vampire novel, "People have fairly much told me I'm insane doing this and I have to admit they're not far off". As part of the release of Elita will be signing copies of the "Guardian" eBook Kindle edition using a pot of her blood which has been specially conditioned for the purpose.
Local pathology lab technician, Ima Faeke of the Alicorp medical labs comments "When we received the request it was quite unusual, we've had similar requests before but not for the purpose of writing ink", there was no shortage of red-tape and expenditure to endure, "...obviously using blood for writing is not safe normally, especially when it's being shared to thousands of people". The blood is put through a process known as 'whet-pensilification' which destroys all the biologically active aspects of the blood, leaving behind only the pigmentation of the hemoglobin in a stable and sterile alcohol base that can be used for writing with in a fountain pen".
To make things even more dramatic, Elita actually has a major phobia of needles, so actually drawing the blood from her initially was a major step and showed profound dedication to getting her book out there and noticed, "I wanted people to realize how serious I was about this book, how much I was willing to sacrifice to make it happen" furthering "People talk about 'blood, sweat and tears', well now I'm offering the literal thing".
